Calculator inputs

AI Cost runs cost calculations in your browser. We do not ask for API keys, prompts, model responses, raw usage logs, or account details. The calculator does not send its numeric inputs or results to our servers or to model providers.

Local saving and sharing

Save on this device stores one plan in localStorage on this browser. Load saved plan restores it. Delete saved plan removes it. Your theme preference is also stored locally; clearing your browser site data removes these items.

A shared estimate is encoded in the URL fragment after #plan=. It contains calculator switches and numeric assumptions, including any sample costs, rates, and latency values you entered. The fragment is not part of the HTTP request to the hosting server. Anyone with that link can read it. Only share numbers you are comfortable disclosing.

Website delivery, analytics, and advertising

Cloudflare delivers the website and processes request information such as IP address and requested page as part of hosting and security.

The site loads the Plausible analytics script at https://app.pageview.app/js/script.js, configured for aicost.sevu.net. It measures page visits and related traffic information. We do not attach calculator values or saved plans to analytics events. Third-party service operation is subject to the service provider’s practices.

Advertising is enabled through a third-party script hosted at bauval.org. Loading this script sends a request to the advertising provider, which can receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser information. The provider controls its advertising behavior and any browser storage it uses. We do not intentionally attach calculator values or saved plans to advertising requests.

Google Analytics and Google AdSense are not currently enabled.

Contact and your choices

Email hi@sevu.net to report a privacy issue or request help with information you sent us. Contact links open your email client; nothing is emailed until you send it. We receive the email address and content you choose to send.

You can use the calculator without saving a plan. Browser controls can block analytics and clear local data. We have no account system or server-side repository of your calculator plans.
